The 19th Amendment was proposed by Susan B. Anthony represented the right for women to vote, had been passed by the House of Representatives on May 21, 1919. The measure was approved by the house with 42 votes over the two-thirds vote requirement. Later on June 4th, 1919, the 19th amendment would then be passed by the Senate by only two votes over the two-third majority requirement.

It would be on August 18th, 1920, the 19th amendment would be ratified and officially granting women the right to vote.
